Product Information
RNA interference has become a widely used approach to perform gene knockdown experiments in cell cultures and more recently transgenic animals. It has developed into a routine method to assess gene function in a fast and easy manner. Since 2008, Creative Animodel's scientists have generated more than 200 RNAi models for innovative biomedical researchers. These RNAi models allow researchers to induce and reverse gene knockdown in transgenic mice at selected time points in vivo.

Silencing lentiviral vectors and adenoviral vectors
Transgenic mice can be generated rapidly by transduction of early embryos with lentiviral silencing vectors and adenoviral vectors, resulting in mice with down regulated target genes. These methodologies offer the possibility of large-scale generation of knockdown transgenic mice for functional genomic studies and enable the production of transgenic mice in 7 weeks.Cre/loxP system as an activate RNAi in a time- and tissue-dependent mannerSingle-copy RNAi constructs are placed into the Rosa26 locus of ES cells by recombinase-mediated cassette exchange and transmitted through the germline of chimaeric mice. The site-specific insertion of single-copy shRNA vectors allows the expedite and reproducible production of knockdown mice and provides an easy and fast approach to assess gene function in vivo.

In the past years, Creative Animodel has collected more than 80 cases of human tumors. At present, 30 cases are growing as subcutaneous xenografts in nude mice, and others were retained as nitrogen frozen samples. Tumors types comprise: stomach, lung, liver, pancreas, kidney, bladder, skin, breast, brain, colon, prostate, sarcomas (bone), uterus, ovary and hematological models. Also, we have a full range of human tumor cell lines that have been validated in our in vivo efficacy studies or reported in literature. According to the requirements from clients and our experience, Creative Animodel can offer subcutaneous, orthotopic, metastatic, transgenic and chemoinduced models using these tumor samples and cell lines.
