DESCRIPTION

   This product is a monoclonal antibody (IgG) to Taq DNA polymerase for use in hot start PCR. The antibody was derived from a hybridoma (mouse originated) and purifed by afnity chromatographic step from the culture media. Isotype is IgG 1 Kappa. When mixed with Taq DNA polymerase, it inhibits the polymerase activity and prevents non-specifc amplifcation derived from misprinting of primer dimer before PCR cycling. The antibody is denatured during the initial denaturation step, so there is no need for a special denaturation step. This antibody provides convenience PCR that enhances the specifcity and sensitivity.
