Social Bio Co., Ltd. is a social enterprise certified by Yeosu City No. 2018-247, and produces and distributes Dolsan Samchae Mustard Kimchi, Dolsan Samchae Mustard Water Kimchi, Dolsan Samchae Mustard Pickle, and Dolsan Samchae Other Kimchi made with Dolsan Mustard, a geographically indicated agricultural product produced in the Yeosu region.
Starting as a one-person creative company at Jeonnam Techno Park in 2014, it was incorporated as Samchae Story Co., Ltd. in 2016 to manufacture, distribute, and export kimchi and other processed foods. Since its establishment, it has grown continuously and was selected as a promising small and medium-sized export company by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2021, and is steadily exporting to the United States, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, etc.
With its own patented technology (5 cases), the company has been recognized for its differentiated product quality and the prices of various products such as low-priced, mid-priced, and premium products in the kimchi market, and signed a contract with Ultari USA for the next three years (USD 500,000 in 2022, USD 700,000 in 2023, and USD 1 million in 2024). It currently has a total of 9 employees to secure quantity and stable supply, and it is expected to continue rapid growth in the future.
The main customer is Ultari USA located in the US market, and it is focusing on overseas exports and gradually expanding the domestic market.
