Product Description
Product Catalog / Brochure / Spec Sheet
CCAW (Copper-Clad Aluminum Wire) is a composite material that combines the benefits of both copper and aluminum. The copper and aluminum layers are bonded together, with copper atoms diffusing into the aluminum base and aluminum atoms diffusing into the copper base. This bonding creates a strong, non-separable structure that offers the electrical conductivity of copper with the lightweight properties of aluminum, making it an ideal material for various industrial applications.
1. Lightweight
CCAW is more than 50% lighter than pure copper, making it ideal for applications where weight reduction is a priority, such as in high-performance electrical systems, automotive, and aerospace industries.
2. Cost-Effective
Since the price of CCAW is about half that of copper, it becomes a highly cost-effective alternative for applications where large-scale manufacturing and cost efficiency are essential.
3. High Electrical Conductivity
Despite being lighter and cheaper than copper, CCAW can deliver up to 90% of the electrical conductivity of copper, making it suitable for high-frequency applications, power transmission, and signal transmission systems.
4. Versatility in Applications
CCAW is used in a wide range of industries, including electrical cables, motor windings, transformers, and consumer electronics such as TVs, refrigerators, and fan motors. Its versatility makes it a go-to material in many high-performance and cost-sensitive applications.
