MOISim Four modules
- Virtual driving environment module:
- creates a virtual driving environment based on various fixed objects (roads, signs, traffic lights, etc.), moving objects (vehicles, pedestrians, personal mobilities), and scenarios
- includes automatic roads/scenario creation program and standard data format conversion algorithm
- allows you to create a virtual environment with various roads and scenarios (standard/malicious/extreme/explosive/accident/failure) and convert it into a database
- Synchronization module:
- synchronizes the created virtual driving environment with the actual driving test vehicle
- includes a high-performance GPS/INS device and coordinate conversion & synchronization algorithms
- Sensor emulation module:
- extracts driving information, such as the relative distance/speed/acceleration between the test vehicle and surrounding virtual vehicles
- extracts curvature of the road, and distance/attitude from the center of the road, from the created virtual driving environment
- transmits the extracted data to the controller of the car through P-CAN
- includes a driving information extraction algorithm and a communication conversion algorithm.
- requires an algorithm to customize the Radar/camera/Lidar devices installed in the test vehicle and the vehicle's CAN protocol
- Visualization module:
- visualizes the virtual driving environment and provide to the driver using display equipments (monitor, HUD, HMD)
- includes a graphic engine, a high performance realtime simulation equipment, and a database that graphically animates various virtual environments (roads and scenarios)

- Developed a systematic and standard virtual driving environment/scenario generation program
- Established a DB of over 300 virtual driving environments and scenarios including standard scenarios and edge cases
- Developing Artificial Intelligence based urban/highway scenario generation algorithm
- Developed sensor emulation algorithm applicable to most vehicles
- Developed a prototype demonstration vehicle equipped with MOISim to demonstrate functionality and performance
