FURMIN invites you to the world of the hidden treasure of 19th century Joseon, Minhwa.
The art beloved by Kings, the paintings that decorated the palace of Joseon, now comes to your everyday life. Minhwa expresses the human hope and beauty of nature.
FURMIN, the most Korean, the most modern, the art that lives through time, becomes the family heirloom that passes on your life's story to the next generation.
Made by the Korean artisan and stamped with the Minhwa artist's identity, Eco-frendly furniture with 100% linen and 100% solid wood. With new interpretations, new materials, and new technological developments, we will constantly self-regenerate our artistic, technological, and cultural heritage.
FURMIN is an exclusive premium brand that showcases Korean sense of beauty.
FURMIN's the furniture that brings you a blessing.
As an exceptional Korean culture and content brand, FURMIN redevelops the hidden treasure of 19th century Joseon, Minhwa into a new 21st century design story.
FURMIN is the most Korean and modern brand that designs carefully using traditional manufacturing methods with a design philosophy that looks beyond 100 years. Developed in collaboration with the artisan Kim Jae-yeol, who is a Korean intangible cultural asset number 55. The furniture was produced using a wood furniture technique that does not use nails and is extremely sturdy.
The method has been passed down for 100 years.
The furniture was designed based on the Korean artistic content, Minhwa, in which the design was drawn directly by a Minhwa artist. The productivity was maximized using a production method that digitally prints on a 100% linen material.
FURMIN furniture structures hold our design philosophy and value. Even the best furniture can become wiggly after being moved a couple of times.
This results from a problem in the hardware and structure. Hanok, Korean traditional houses, can be moved even after 100 years of construction, and this is because the hanoks we see today were constructed based on the structural technique.
The structural design that FURMIN pursues is in line with this technique which holds similar philosophical value as FURMIN. FURMIN furniture products are light, simple, and do not have nails.
Furmin's art furniture is customizable.
