Product Information
This product is a software used for simulated treatment and simulation using medical images, it is a medical imaging planning software that reconstructs DICOM-type medical images taken from MR or CT medical imaging devices into a 3D model, simulates electrical stimulation-based tumor therapy, calculates the distribution of electric fields to the human body, and shows the simulation results.
The product receives a DICOM-formatted medical image taken from an MR or CT medical imaging device and manually segments the region for each tissue and evaluation to be applied to the calculation by a medical professional and positions the electrodes.
provides a method finite element method as a computational algorithm to obtain numerical solutions of electric field distributions for Maxwell equations in quasi-stationary states. Segmentation results are used to create volume meshes for applying the finite element method. Calculation results can be used to establish electric field treatment plans, such as electric field treatment plans and quantitative analysis of organs.
Provides a graphical user interface throughout the course of use of the product.
The basic order of use of the program is as follows:
(1) Run/Shut Down a Program
Locate and run the OncoField app on the Windows Start menu or in the search box.
(2) Sign in
Enter Username and Password with registered IDs and log in.
(3) Load DICOM
File > File import>Dicom... Invoke DICOM through .
(4) Creating a Study
Choose File > New Study and create a study.
(5) VOI (Volume of Interest)
Contour can be drawn in the axial slice. The organ used to calculate the electric field is set to Primary VOI. If you click Confirm Labels, you can no longer modify it. If you need to modify it, click on Unconfirm Labels to modify it.
(6) POI (Point of Interest)
The POI is a reference point for attaching electrodes, and select the VOI location that the user wants to see intensively.
(7) Create an electrode
Click Electrode > Auto Generate or select POI in Study Explorer and click Generate. Four additional POIs are created around the selected POI: Right, Left, Top, and Rear. When this process is completed, one plan is completed, and the above process is repeated to create various plans.
(8) Electric field calculation
The estimated time required for calculation is approximately 10 minutes to several hours and may vary depending on your computer specification. When the calculation is complete, the calculated result value is displayed in the Main View. If you mouse over to the location you want to view, you can view the calculated value in the Status Bar.
(9) Analysis of results
Click to view the DVH. DVH is a Dose Volume Histogram, which allows you to check the volume dose as %. DVH is the most important indicator used when comparing plans, and each point is defined by the volume of VOI and the electric field value. If you want to compare multiple plans, you can compare them by choosing Analysis > Comparison.
(10) Confirmation of plan
It can be executed by selecting File > Confirm, and all editing functions are locked during Confirm.
