Original roast seasoned laver is our first product of the table line. It's a 4g small package of laver sheets with plastic tray which has no burden to consumer who is unfamiliar to laver or lives alone.
Our differentiation point from other brand is that we are positioning as a carbon-positive food product with plenty of vitamin B12.
Vitamin B12, an essential nutrient is generally known that it can not be supplied through a vegetarian diet but laver is the only natural food rich in vitamin B12 on the planet. So we want to let people know this fact and have more laver because it has also environmental advantage.
Since laver is farmed in the sea, it does not require any farmland or agricultural water. Deforestation and waste of fresh water problem of agriculture industry has serious impacts on environment. And a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions come from agricultural production making it as the main culprit of climate change. We believe that distributing laver is practical action for people and the planet.
Our product has the package design catching the eyes. We believe that laver can be a game changer, taking center of plant-based and vegan food market. But the main problem of the existing laver products is lack of branding strategy. Those have not-so-attractive package meeting demand only of asian people and sushi restaurants.
We found that it needs to reposition as an organic, carbon-positive vegan food. For this goal, we plan to use offensive and insisting SNS marketing and build a strong fan base. Not only positioning as an eco-friendly food product, we are aiming the people who are interested in Korean culture and are already a laver fan by developing various flavor.
