Air carbon gouging & blasting torch is used to gouging and cutting with carbon rod and applied widely to all metals including Iron, Steel Casting, Stainless Steel, Copper and Aluminum, etc. and it also can be used in the heavy industries, steel casting plant and other various industies.

Air carbon arc gouging works as follows. 

An electric arc is generated between the tip of a carbon electrode and the workpiece. 

The metal becomes molten and a high velocity air jet streams down the electrode to blow it away, thus leaving a clean groove. 

The process is simple to apply (using the same equipment as MMA welding), has a high metal removal rate, and gouge profile can be closely controlled. Disadvantages are that the air jet causes the molten metal to be ejected over quite a large distance and, because of high currents (up to 2000A) and high air pressures (80 to 100 psi), it can be very noisy.

Blasting torch can use 3 kinds of carbon rod according to gouging current.

The blasting tip can be easily mounted on the torch.

There are 3 kinds of blasing tips. It is used for 13Φ, 16Φ, 19Φ carbon rod.

There are heat deflector on the torch. and it protect the hands from the gouging heat.

The valve on the torch can control the air flow. it is efficient the gouging process.

It is consist of several parts.

Blasting Tip, arm, arm cover, torch head etc.
