1.What is the difference between genuine HID lights and Xenon gas-filled bulbs?

High Intensity Discharge (HID) is a type of lighting technology that replaces the metal filament of the light bulb with Xenon gas. The gas is ignited to produce an arc of light, when high voltage is applied. The amount of light output is three times that of a standard halogen bulb. The bulbs also glow at a higher light temperature ( same as natural sunlight) that gives it its distinct color and appearance.

Many companies produce halogen bulbs that are gas-filled. They still have a filament as they are halogen technology, but the gas gives the bulb a bluer color when lit. Xenon-filled halogen bulbs produce little or no more light output then standard halogen bulbs of the same wattage.Most actually cause worse visiblity.

Please do not be fooled by xenon halogen type bulbs. As they offer little to no benifit! They also burn out faster! 

2.What type of Kit do I need? (LOW BEAM,  HIGH BEAM or FOG LIGHTS?)

LOW BEAM Kit
Our low beam kit converts only the low beam of your vehicle to HID on all vehicles.This is the bulb typically used for normal driving. If your vehicle's low beam bulb is also your high beam bulb (bulb types H4, 9004, 9007, 9008 & H13) then your high beam bulb will be a halogen bulb integrated with the low beam bulb.

HIGH BEAM Kit
This kit will cover your high beams. This is the light you use to flash someone or see further down the road. If your vehicle has bulb type that your low beam and high beam are in the same bulb, then buy purchasing this kit you will be upgraded automatically to our Bi-xenon kit. This means by adding this kit, your kit is upgraded to our kit that will do both low and high within the same bulb.

FOG LIGHT Kit
This kit will convert your fog lights into HID as well. Please note, you must have the actual fog light housings already installed in your bumper, otherwise you cannot install this kit. This kit only replaces the bulbs with a HID kit, we also sell the assembly.

3.Can I Install the kit myself?

For anyone who is mechanically inclined or has ever changed their light bulbs before, this is easy. Consult your owner's manual or dealer on light bulb replacement. Some vehicles may require you to remove the front bumper to get access to the light bulbs. Others you may have to remove the headlights.

9. How long is your Delivery Time ?

10. What is a Xenon HID System

H.I.D. stands for High Intensity Discharge. This is a different technology to a standard halogen filament bulb that produces a much more intense light. Requiring 24,000V to start up, these systems come with an independent power pack called a ballast. This feeds the HID bulb with the required power to create an arc of light that is 300% brighter than the light produced from a standard halogen bulb.

11.Why should i choose HID?

HID systems produce a 300% more light than a standard halogen. This improved light output allows for a much increased field of vision when driving at night. HID light is naturally closer to daylight which in turn reduces driver fatigue and improves the quality of night time driving.
HID technology is also longer lasting than a filament bulb. HID systems will normally last 5-10 times longer so despite the obvious price difference, when you take into account the extra life and safety, they really can be great value for money.

12.Will these interfere with my cars ECU System?

On a lot of the newer vehicles (BMW's being a prime example) these kit's can cause the bulb failure alarm to show up on the dash board. This is due to them running on a much lower wattage than your standard halogen bulb. This is why we have specifically designed our Ultimate kit to get around this issue. This kit has everything inbuilt into the ballast unit to get around this issue without the need for additional resistors on 95% of vehicles.

13. My ballast units are buzzing, Is this normal?

Yes this is perfectly normal. This is just indicating that power is getting to them and they are working as they should. Please note that some ballast units will buzz but some will not. This is not an indication of a fault.

14. Are the conversion kits suitable for plastic headlight units?

Yes these kits will be fine to use. As they run on a lower wattage the bulbs actually produce less heat than a standard filament bulb will. The bulbs are also UV protected so will not cause any damage to the units what so ever.
