General Instruction of Piping Connection
Three methods are available in traditional metal piping connection:
• WELDING
• FLANGE
• SCREW THREAD
While, COUPLINGS provide the fourth method to piping connection systems, as a faster, easier reliable
and more economical way of jointing pipes, with no pollution to the environment at all during its instal-
lation.
The connecting way of couplings is to place an end groove(See groove specification page 12) on top of
the outer wall of pipes, then joint the two pipes together by the connection of couplings.
Two processing methods of groove are available and specifications are according to AWWA norm - CUT
