Dates

 Dates are the fruits growing on the palm trees belonging to the family of Arecaceae in the genus: Phoenix and scientifically named as Phoenix dactylifera. The tree is believed to originate in the lands on the banks of Nile and Euphrates Rivers of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Date palm is now grown extensively for its edible fruits under warmer climates across all the continents. There are different types of dates . Generally dates are two types based to moisture content . Semi dry and Wet dates .

Semi dry dates  include : Sayer, Shahabi, Kabkab, Kaloote, Rabbi, Zahedi, Piarom, Khase ,Shahani  .package is10 kg (NW) cartons,as request some types can be packaged in 1 kg/1.5 kg boxes .

Wet dates Include Mozafati dates ,still in this group there is semi dry type (Donam)whose moisture content is  less than wet types . That is a 7-kg mother carton include 12* (580g) boxes while a 8 kg mother carton includes 12*(666 g) boxes. packaging of Mozafati is different from other types because of delicate nature.

Industrial dates in 30 kg bags and dates syrup in 20 Litre gallons are available too .Depending on syrup brix e.g. (brix 74-76)and (brix 76-78), the weight of gallons are 25 kg and 28 kg respectively .
