Characteristics

-Absorbs the shock load of the vehicle and generates little noise

-Proper for earthquake-resistant design since it dissipates horizontal load into the pier and abutment

-The fixing wedge inhibits the displacement by the wind load and brake load of the vehicle

-Since it can be easily replaced, it is easy to maintain.

2) Pot Bearing

Sliding Function : P.T.F.E + Stainless Steel Plate

Characteristics

-The rubber sealed in the metal pot moves like a fluid to absorb the shock load accepting the rotation

-Has low coefficient of friction and low increase in the coefficient of friction for the long-term use.

-Has low height of bearing so that rotation moment for horizontal load is low,

-The amount of allowed expansion for the vertical expansion is small.

-Easy installation and maintenance and convenient replacement

3) Expansion Joint(Finger type, Rail type)

4) LRB (Lead Rubber Bearing)

Vertical Reaction : 500~50,000kN  (Designed vertical stress=120kg/cm2 ~ 150kg/cm2)

Shape : Round or Rectangular (other shape also available)

Designed Amount of Movement : 70% of rubber height (ordinary) 200%  of rubber height (earthquake)

Height of Rubber : Determined by the amount of expansion on the bridge slab and the required natural period of the structure.
