【Pharmacological action】

 Pharmacodynamicst:

 Amoxicillin belongs to β-lactams antibiotics, with a wide spectrum antibacterial effect.Its  

 antibacterial spectrum and antibacterial activity are basically same with ampicillin,

 It has antibacterial activity against a broad spectrum of gram-positive bacteria,slightly

 weaker than the antibacterial activities of penicillin,and is sensitive to penicillinase,

 So it has no effect to staphylococcus aureus which has strong penicillin-resistance.

 Amoxicillin has strong function for gram-negative bacteria, such as escherichia coli,

 proteus, salmonella, haemophilus, brucella and pasteurella etc, but these bacteria are prone  

 to drug resistance.It is not sensitive to the pseudomonas aeruginosa.

 It has better of absorption than ampicillin for monogastric animal,so has a high plasma  

 concentration level , which has good treatment effect for the systemic infection, such as

 respiratory system, urinary system, skin and soft tissue etc.

 Pharmacokinetic:

 Amoxicillin was fairly stable in the stomach acid and can be absorbed by proportion 74% to 92%

 of the stomach animals.The contents of the gastrointestinal tract will affect its absorption rate,but won’t effect its absorption degree,so can be mixed with feedstuff to feed the medicine.For equal relative doses feeding,amoxicillin plasma concentration is 1.5~3.0 times than ampicillin.

【Drug interactions】

 (1)Used with aminoglycosides can improve aminoglycosides concentration,also can present  

 synergistic effect.

 (2)Rapid antibacterial agents such as macrolides, tetracyclines and alkanolamide (DEA) etc have

  interference for the bactericidal effect,so mixed used with such products not advised.

【Indications】

  Mainly used for the infection of the sensitive gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria which is

  sensitive to amoxicillin,eg:Staphylococcus aureus, escherichia coli, chicken dysentery and

  infectious rhinitis etc disease.

【Application and Dosage】

 As for amoxicillin soluble powder 10% accounting base

 Taken orally: one time quantity, chicken 0.2 ~ 0.3 g,one kilogram weight, 2 times a day, take 5

 consecutive days .

 Mixed drink: chicken 0.6 g in 1 liter of water, takes 3 ~ 5 days.
