Minimization of the size is required for reducing a dead space in piping arrangement on board. We designed its

size compactly to enlarge the available passage way and serve the good outside view. As an out fittings of ship,

the weight of the air vent head must be light for her dead weight, Air vent heads are generally made by casting 

iron that cause some defects like heavy weight, irregular thickness, corrosion and brittleness. Thus, we designed

the Air Vent Head-Box Type with a steel plate in the rule of IACS P3,s27 and regular thickness which resulted in 

the Notable Weight reduction, regular thickness, strong structure and easy application, You can find the superiority

of our products which acquired type approvals of world famous classification societies.

The Air Vent Head Box Type is composed of a body and a chamber. The body is constructed by welding method

in order to reduce the weight and the volume for the installation works against casting type. The chamber has an 

upper opening part for the seat that may be closed automatically by disc or ball type float when sea water flows

back into the tanks accidentally. Therefore we developed and designed the seat with a New Snap Lip in a flexible

and elastic rubber to seal perfectly at any slight gap and to minimize the hydraulic resistance. Also the chamber

has one or two side opennings through which water can be overflowed or drained. Thus the Box Type is excellent

in the light weight structure, adjustable volume and the perfect tightness. The Air Vent Head can be supplied with 

a flame screen not to allow flame get into the tanks. And the flanqe slze is adjustable according to a

For existing air vent head, there is a possibility of a leakage because the lower part of the seat contacts directly 

with the disc as the closing line of the surface. Therefore the seat should be improved essentially against a bad

condition like a damaged seat. In this regard, we developed the New Snap Lip Seat of air vent head that is 

excellent in tightness due to the additional thin Snap Lip of flexible rubber. It can seal at any slight gap perfectly.

   Notes : 1. Flame screen with wire mesh#30 to be fitted for lil & F.W.tank and W.B.T of ail carrier or wire 

                  mesh #4 for other tanks.

              2. Lower pipe(STPG370)shall be SCH. 80(100A~150A), SCH.40(200A~300A), 10.5t(350A~500A)

              3. Lifting lug to be for 150A and above size

              4.. For oil & F.W system to be fitted with screen cover which upper part is closed.

2.Casting Type

   Notes : 1. Flame screen with mesh #30 to be fitted for Oil & F.W.Tank and W.B.T of oil carrier or wire mesh #4

                  for other tanks.

              2. Lifting lug to be for 150A and above size.

              3. For Oil & F.W. system to be fitted with screen cover which upper part is closed.
