Chongqing Shizhu Coptis Chinensis Co., Ltd.(CSCC)is located on the famous hometown of rare Chinese herbal medicine rhizoma coptidis----Huangshui town,Shizhu County,Chongqing China, which is the leading enterprise and GAP implementer of Shizhu rhizoma coptidis industrialization under Chongqing Agri-industrial-commercial Corporation.
      Holding 5,533 hectares production area and 233 hectares perennial plantation of rhizome coptidis, CSCC annually replants & harvests 47 hectares of rhizoma coptidis with output of over 150 tons. With the adoption of the mechanism of Company+Base+Farmers, CSCC set up rhizoma coptidis GAP planting base of 3,333 hectares in 6 production enterprises and 16 towns, and thus keep annual output of over 1,500 tons, accounting for 60% in China and about 40% in the world. In addition, CSCC have set up a sole domestic rhizoma coptidis GAP base inspection center at Huangshui Town in charge of rhizoma coptidis biological environmental inspection and product quality inspection.
      As the window and the domestic scientific research & teaching base of Shizhu rhizoma coptidis, CSCC have successively received over 10,000 visitors from home and abroad since its establishment. All of the famous experts and scholars researching rhizoma coptidis have visited CSCC, and most scientific achievements related to rhizoma coptidis were made here. In 2002, CSCC was approved as the first Chongqing trueborn CTM materials GAP planting pilot base. In 2004, the rhizoma coptidis of CSCC was listed as the Protection Product of Geographical indication and passed national CTM GAP Certification. Moreover, CSCC registered the certification trademark of Product of Geographical indication--Shizhu Huanglian .CSCC owns the domestic sole trademark of rhizoma coptisdis--- Shennong brand. Shennong brand products are strictly produced according to the CTM materials GAP Specifications and GB/T20358-2006 standards, and well sell home and abroad.
