Product Information
The XG1300L is a fully self-contained digital MEMS gyroscope and accelerometer, internally contains a R1350. The XG1300L is compatible with the Lego NXT communication interface and can be attached using standard Lego Technic pins and cables. The XG1300L communicates with the Lego Mindstorms NXT using an I2C interface. It implements a communication protocol compatible with Lego NXT, hence users can use different virtually any programing tools to communicate with this device. This sensor can be used in a wide range of applications, from exploring basic inertial sensing concepts up to advanced applications. The XG1300L is small and light, and the electronics is protected with a solid enclosure designed to minimize external damage and easy handling. For convenience, the XG1300L internally integrates the gyroscope output in order to compute the angle. The angle value can be used directly as the heading measurement in navigation applications.
The XG1300L includes a signal processing unit that estimates and compensates for the most significant errors that affect gyroscopes, providing an output with minimum error. The XG1300L includes a three-axis accelerometer that can be used to compute tilt angles, detect robot collisions, or changes in velocity.
