>> What is “all 3-ply clad”?

MAMA CHEF (MMC) frying pan consists of three layers of metallic plates (stainless steel –aluminum- stainless steel). Clad means combined state of other metal with one or both sides of metal and consist of multi-layers of more than two different kinds of metals. It’s top quality material within which metals of different properties supplement each other’s weaknesses while keeping individual property of each metal. Heat efficiency is maximized by stainless steel that conserves heat well and aluminum that conducts heat well. MMC frying pan is superior to those pans made of singular metallic plate in durability, heat conductivity, heat conservation and heat efficiency.

>> What is dimple structure?

It’s a hexagonal pattern applied for Excalibur coated products. When the product is heated up, oil and air within the dimple line expands and buoy food up, by which food does not stick to the plate, and less oil is consumed for cooking as a consequence. Heat is delivered rapidly and evenly through the dimple line, reducing the time required for cooking.

Heat durability of Bakelite resin is reinforced by applying heat resistant coating over the frying pan handle.

>> What is Excalibur coating?

It is a patented (USA no.5069937) coating agent exclusively used for stainless steel. Excellent coating strength and durability are assured by applying arc spray on the surface of stainless steel. An inspector from Whtfort, the developer of Excalibur, carries out regular inspections on MMC products to supply stickers for quality authentication.

Karim Rashid is regarded as one of three greatest industrial designers of the world. He participated in various projects for enterprises of many countries including interior, life stuff, fashion items, etc. His designs are from the unique idea combined with minimalism and sensualism expressed in simplicity, softness and splendor. He has over 3000 art designs, more than 300 of which were picked as the winner of international design awards. He is the winner of numerous design awards including Best of Canada for Product Design, Daimler Chrysler Design Award and George Nelson Award. Some 20 of his art designs were selected as permanent collections and his art designs are exhibited at world class art galleries including MOMA, FMMA. He is recently participating in the design work of Sony and Audi, and his boots design is widely known among Korean women. He has also actively involved in designs for Korean enterprises such as logo for Hanhwa Group, “O”EAU water bottle for Paris Baguette, Hyundai Card, Isa knox, Sunsaem for AK group, etc. He is coming closer to the consumers of Korea and the world with his own designs of MAMA Chef (MMC) frying pans and saucepans.
