Product Description
Urethane adhesive for Honeycomb
│ OUTLINE │
The TYC-4000 series is a single-component type urethane adhesive that bonds EPS and Honeycombs with steel plates, which are usually used for radiators and fireproof doors. Generally, for radiators and fireproof doors, glass wool and honeycomb go between iron plates. The adhesive used to bond glass wool and honeycomb with iron plate is urethane adhesive. Our company’s urethane adhesive for glass wool, honeycomb, and rebound foam is a single component type, and is widely used in radiator and fireproof door production businesses for its excellent adhesion and solution safety.
│ GENERAL PROPERTIES OF MATTER │
| GRADE | Property | Viscosity (Cps at 25C) |
Specific gravity (at 25C |
NCO % | Pot life time (at 25C) |
| TYC-4000 series | Lemon yellow liquid | 1500~2500 | 1.18~1.20 | 16~17 | 20~25 minutes |
│ CHARACTERISTIC │
- Excellent adhesion and workability.
- Excellent cold flexibility and thermal resistance.
- A single-component type, which makes manual labor (hera, brush) easy.
- Unlike two-component types, there will not be faults caused by mixing ratio.
- It is moisture-sclerotic, so pot life time can be reduced by moisturizing.
│ USE METHOD AND PRECAUTION │
Store this product at 10–25°C and keep it in an airtight container to avoid exposure to moisture and air.
Use protective gear, such as protective gloves, at the workplace. Ventilate the workplace at all times, in case of contact with eyes, wash with running water immediately, and consult a doctor. Temperature change affects viscosity, property of matter, and usability, so maintain optimal temperature (20–30°C) when working with the product.
Poor pressure may cause adhesion problems, so compress for more than three hours after spreading the product.
After opening the container, use the adhesive as soon as possible, and the remaining adhesive should be sealed with nitrogen gas (the shelf life is six months in an airtight container, but it can vary due to the moisture in the air).
