The SM series starters are air starters with a leading-in device made to operate from differences in air pressure at the entrance and in the overall surrounding temperature. The actual minimum pressure to start is determined by the engine load and/or size.
- The starters of the SM series operate by compressed air. Small alien substances or lubricants in the air do not critically affect the operation of the SM series. SM series starters do not require a lubricant in the supplied air.
