 About Cashew Friction dust

Cashew Friction Dust is organic powder manufactured by the reaction pf Phenol/Cashew Nut Shell Liquid or its derivatives like CNSL, CNSL distilled residue or Cardanol. Friction Dust is used for formulating and manufacturing of various Brake linings/ Clutch Facings, Brake Pads and Brake Shoes for automobiles, rail and aircrafts Industries and for applications where high absorption and frictional properties are needed .As Friction Dust is prepared from Cashew Nut Shell Liquid/Cardanol and aldehyde donors like Formaldehyde/ hexamine /Para Formaldehyde. Basically it is a phenol formaldehyde resin, which is polymerized and reacted with any one of the aldehyde donors and made to powder form of various standard mesh sizes. This material of various mesh sizes is supplied as per the specification and requirements of various manufacturers for making Brake linings, Brake pad, Brake Shoes and clutch facings.

 Normally organic powder (dust) will have a high surface energy. In general Cashew Friction Dust is manufactured in two grades i.e. is coarse grade and fine grade. Friction Dust is available in two colors i.e. Black and Brown color and are packed in HDPE lined Double craft paper bags to avoid moisture and heat contamination.

 Cashew Friction Dust is a highly specialized material used in special applications for manufacturing of Brake Lining, Brake Pads, Brake Shoes and Clutch Facings etc and has got customers specification for obtaining optimum properties of the finished products for example the Indian standards has got its own specifications. The Cashew Friction Dust is always stored at cool place and is packed in 25Kgs HDPE lined paper bags
