This is a product enabling to maintain the massage effect to the gums, which is the same feature available in the existing electric toothbrush, acting sterilization in the mouth, bio activation and whitening function by integrating functional LED's to the front side of the bristles of a toothbrush, and maximizing the effect by applying 4Mhz of the frequency of body cell to the red and white LED's and letting them emit high brightness of 3,000mCd.

The functions of LED electric toothbrush

Red LED
This is a near infrared light useful for the treatment of skin injury, cut and scars caused by burns or boils, etc. and helps prevent a tooth from smarting and improve the blood circulation by stimulating the skin cells. It also accelerates the production of collagen and elastin by 150~200% that help maintain the skin resilience.

White LED
This performs the sterilization and removes acnes (skin diseases such as pimples, etc.) by acting against the inflammation caused by bacteria in dermis layer that is the cause of the skin problem and provides the whitening effect by generating a nascent state of oxygen. This is more stable and eco-friendly than a blue LED and has a wavelength near ultraviolet light.

The way to use it effectively

• We recommend you to use floss or interdental brushes to get rid of the foreign substances from between the teeth.

The Experiment Contents Confirmation

2. Material, Target and Method
Material : Test Group - Normally operating PRO-T870/T871(PROCARE Co., Ltd. Korea)
Control Group - with LED not operating PRO-T870/871(PROCARE Co., Ltd. Korea)

Target : 30 patients with gingival bleeding and gingivitis who have visited Dental Hospital of Dankook University
Method : 30 patients divided by 15 in Test & 15 in Control Group to brush the gums for 4 weeks using the respective toothbrushes above. By measuring the Gingival index(GI) and Plaque index(PI) before the experiment(baseline), 2nd week and 4th week after experiment to calculate the gingivitis reduction effect

3. The Result

1) GI: Compared to the Control Group, the Test Group of the 2nd and 4th week showed a statistically significant reduction in GI.

2) PI: There are no significant differences between the two groups,
The Test Group shows a significant difference between baseline and 4th week, and the plaque has been continuously reduced. (Plaque prevented).

4. The Conclusion
LED electric toothbrush shows a statistically significant GI reduction effect, And PI is anticipated to continuously decrease by its long-term use Thus confirmed effective on gingivitis reduction.
