Introduction

NGuard 1700i is a highly refined remote video surveillance system that dually supports the ITUT International Video Communication Standard and ISO/IEC MPEG. It is suitable for the realtime video surveillance of locations where a large amount of movement takes place (such as highways and floodgates), and transmits data for the control of relevant equipment as well as video and audio data.
It can be used within leased line or IP network environments of 128bkps through E1, and constitutes a highquality remote video surveillance system for connection to highresolution cameras, largescreen monitors and audio systems.

Feature

1. High Quality Real-Time Video Communication
NGuard 1700i follows international standards for real-time communication to vividly transmit and reconstruct real-time scenes that are taking place in remote locations. It provides good picture quality and natural motion in environments where a large amount of movement occurs thanks to high-quality frames of 30 frames/60 fields.

2. Efficient System Operability In Various Environments
Thanks to an adoption of H.323 and H.320 International Standards for IP networks and leased line networks, NGuard 1700i frees the user from any network restrictions. Different networks may be handled with a single button on the LCD control panel regardless of network type.
In addition, the system allows the user to freely adjust the bandwidth to a level suitable for his or her environment along a range of 128 to 2,048 Kbps (least line) and 128 Kbps to 4 Mbps (IP), and is easy to install on-site due to simple encoder/decoder setup procedures.

3. Realization of Various Compaction Standards
NGuard 1700i supports H.261/H.263+ and MPEG-4, which are the video compaction algorithms most suitable for real-time video communication. The user can manually select an optimum remote surveillance mode to best fit the site condition.

4. Convenient User Interface
The LCD control panel and LED on the front display make it possible to check the system and change the environment setup, allowing the user to take necessary measures rapidly and effectively.

5. Excellent Compatibility
As the H.320/H.323 International Standards have been applied to NGuard 1700i, it is compatible with any systems that also comply with international standards.

6. Good Consolidation Function (Option)
As the system provides a remote video surveillance function over Internet Explorer, it allows a number of authorized staff to conduct remote surveillance from their personal PC. By utilizing the built-in CSU function, it is also possible to save costs by opening a communication service with no additional equipment and conduct efficient installation work through the saving of space.

7. Convenient System Management
The system is capable of automatic recovery through the watchdog function and can be remotely accessed for simple control and system checks over TCP/IP.
