MOV (Motor Operated Valve Actuator)

Valve actuators that use an electric motor are called MOVs (motor operated valve actuator). MOV has the longest history of all valve actuators and is the most widely used type. Its history spans some seventy years and, in Korea, there are water supply and drainage and water treatment line MOVs and heavy chemical industry MOVs.
In terms application in heavy chemical, electrical power, gas, steel, and shipbuilding fields, most of the MOVs used are imports.
