Principles of Weltouch
In the visible light photocatalyst, titanium dioxide is the main component, when sun light or indoor light reaches the surface of the photocatalyst with enough energy, a strong hydrolyzing activity occurs, with excellent effects for removing toxic substances, antibacterial and antiviral properties, air purification, pollution prevention, odors removal... etc.
In addition, because there is no disintegration this activity will continue indefinitely.
- In visible light photocatalyst(based on titanium dioxide), when light energy reaches the surface, firstly an electron(-) is ejected from the surface. This electron combines with the oxygen of the air producing superoxide(O2)
- With the ejection of electrons from visible light photocatalyst Weltouch. appear positively charged holes, are involved with H2O from the air in hydroxyl radicals OH production.
- Generated superoxide anions(O2) and hydroxyl radicals OH are the cause of the strong hydrolyzing activity decomposing the odors, pollutions such formaldehyde, VOCs, bacteria, fungi and virus to harmless and simpler substances.
For these reasons it is not a general photo catalyst but a visible light photo catalyst?
The most currently used photo catalysts in domestic market are active only in ultraviolet region, this product was developed to use solar energy. In indoor environment, because the ultraviolet radiations are fewer, the common types UV active photo catalysts are not effective when applied indoor.
