Raising Our Profile in Japan with Aggressive Marketing
To capture a larger share of new wind power markets in North America and Asia, Dongkuk S&C is working to ensure a stable production structure. The Asian wind energy market is forecast to experience the world's highest growth rate over the next five years. Exports to Japan, which had accounted for most demand, were down temporarily due to amendments to
that country's construction laws. However, Dongkuk S&C has acquired Japan Industry Standard (JIS) certification as stipulated in relevant regulations, and is now carrying more aggressive marketing efforts there.

Cultivating Korea's Offshore Wind Energy Market
There is a rapidly growing need for offshore wind energy in Korea, which is surrounded by water on three sides. With our internationally proven competitiveness in the wind energy sector, Dongkuk S&C is leading various efforts to cultivate a domestic offshore wind power market. These include development of the Shinan Wind Farm, creation of an experimental research center for offshore wind energy, and support for graduate schools of wind energy. Additionally, by the end of 2014 we will secure the technology required to construct and operate offshore wind energy generation plants and spearhead the growth of the domestic market.
