Scheimpflug Image

Scheimpflug images can be made as
· single pictures with selectable camera positions
· 3D scans of the anterior eye segment.
The Scheimpflug image is shown while the eye is being
focused, allowing the qualit of the picture to be judged before
imaging. The orientation display shows the eye to be examined
and the current camera-slit position. The clear and simply
structured program of the Pentacam permit its operation to be
delegated to assistants. The software can also be used over
the network.

3D Chamber Analyzer

An exact 3D analysis of the anterior segment is guaranteed by the rotating image principle.
It includes the chamber angle, volume and size. The 3D model show the corneal front and back area, the position of the iris and the lens are also shown.

Cataract Analysis

Through the illumination by blue LED-light during the measure - ment, the densitometry (light transmittance) is visible.
The software analyses the cataract and the result can be viewed on the screen. The densitonetry of the lens is quantified which builds a basis for subsequent studies and comparative depic- tions. The single Scheimpflug pictures of the scan can be viewed individually. At the same time, the current sectional plane will be shown in the orientation display.
The high quality of the Scheimpflug image becomes clearly apparent in, for example, the depiction of Bowman's layer as the fist major peak and the sharpness of the rear portion of the lens.
The Pentacam permits carrying out pre-and postoperative control, for example in the case of implantations of intraocular contact lenses, and I.O.L.
