“Datie Handicraft” runs in the ethnic goods and art production, which is an area of producing decorative artwork products using techniques like the Application technique, Machine Traponto, Quilting and Patchwork, and also produces garment with distinctive mix-n-match character.

The character of the products emphasizes the beauty of Indonesian traditional artwork with an ethnic touch, and uses Batik/weaves as its main basic ingredients/material.

The Machine Traponto technique, along with Quilting and Patchwork are the most commonly used, supported by the Application technique when needed by using accessories/ornaments to perfect the product as a beautiful piece of hand-made artwork.

It started out as a hobby, undeveloped due to the limitations of free time while busily working in a government office. But ever since 1998 when the country is experiencing monetary crisis and recession, the condition motivates her to create, be more creative and productive by promoting the products she made.

This artwork –as she I like to call it –is only marketed through exhibitions and bazaars. At the beginning, the consumer shows interest in the products are mainly expatriates residing in Indonesia, but as time goes by, the consumer expands from foreign into local citizen, which shows great interests in mix-n-match fashion style
