Macrocide-C is the trade name of Chlorphenesin, one of the newest preservative agents for the cosmetic and the personal care products. It shows an effective abti-bacterial and anti-fungal activity in itself. Moreover, when combined with other preservatives, it drastically boosts the effectiveness of the other preservatives, such as Phenoxyethanol and Parabens.
Effective at level about 0.2~0.5% within a pH range of 3.0 ~8.0
