Who needs U-Pro?

Wearing cases of U-Pro

1. After having a prostate cancer operation the patient can use this product for leaking & frequent urine in the time but use a diaper in the night time.
2. During the rehabilitation training for a cerebral infarction, a bone fracture, patient can wear this product while using a wheelchair or a walking aid in the daytime but use a chamber pot in the night time.
3. A patient who suffers from a leaking & frequent urine can wear this product when has to sit long time during working even can walk.
4. It is for a patient who is using a diaper lying in a sickbed but doesn’t like using a diaper

Tips for right use

1. Because U-Pro is not a suction system, a back flow protection valve is installed in its adaptor to stop urine flowing back. But a patient should keep right body posture for better urine flowing.
2. If the amount of urinating is getting larger it is important to keep a height difference between the condom and the urine bag. The amount of single urinating and the urinating speed affect a height difference between the condom and the urine bag. If the amount of single urinating is over 300~400ml the angle between the condom and the urine bag should be over 45 degree.
3. When you use U-Pro in the bed, the urine bag could be hanged on one side of bed through under your thigh. If you sleep on your stomach, it is not recommended to use this product.
4. The urine bag should be always below the condom and not pressed by your leg in the bed.
5. It is not recommended to wear this product when you sleep on your stomach or lie on your side, do an exercise of your body upside down, and swim.
6. Because there is no height difference between the condom and the urine bag on the floor, the urine flowing could be bad, In this case making your body stand-up position could be a solution.
7. When you sit wearing the U-Pro in the car be careful not to be your upper body bent backward. It would help if you bend your body forward or use a cushion.
8. When you ride a power wheelchair your knee level would be higher than your waist level. For this reason you need to adjust the position of your body parts for better urine flowing.
9. If your urinating amount is in plenty, it ensures a good urine flowing by standing up your body if you could.
10. You couldn’t use U-Pro for your feces incontinence.
11. While you are wearing U-pro you can use a urinal too. After using a urinal, make sure to connect the condom to your penis securely.

Wear methods

Method A
Above the knee Recommended for walking, sitting or reclining position-both leg straps above the knee.

Method B
Over the knee Best suited for longer leg bags and as above, Recommended for walking, sitting or reclining Positions-upper leg strap above the knee with the lower leg strap below the knee.

Method C
Below the knee Recommended for sitting or reclining positions-both leg straps are below the knee

Keeping your fabric leg straps clean : Close the hook & loop fasteners and join ends of straps. Then, hand or machine wash in warm water. Do not use bleach. Hang dry.

Important : The number of times that the hook & look fastener are opened and closed determines the life of the fasteners. Do not open and close the fasteners unnecessarily. – This will ensure a long life.

Components of the product

Urine bag : Adaptors (upper & lower), Urine bag with the valve (red color) for back flow protection
Condom : made from latex material , disposable, harmless to human body
Fixing band : Needed to fix the genitals to the entrance of urine.
Connecting pipe : It connects the condom with the hose.
Hoses : Long hose connects the connecting pipe with the upper bag and short hose joins to the lower bag. (long hose : 100cm, short : 50cm)
Leg strap :; Used to tie the urine bag to the leg of a wheelchair rider and an active person (put the leg strap into a ring of the bag)
Clamp : It protects a leakage of urine. The adaptor attached to the lower part of the bag works primarily to protect a leakage of urine.
