NeuMed, as a venture company, was established by Professor Ho-CheolKim, College of East Medicine, Kyung HeeUniversity.

Annexed KISTEM(Korea Institute of Science and Technology of East Medicine), located in the College of East Medicine, Kyung HeeUni-versity, the best college of oriental medicine in Korea, have made a collaboration with herbal medicine research team of the College of East Medicine, Kyung HeeUniversity, as a research laboratory of the company.

Professors specialized in herbal medicine, herbal pharmacology and the research staff members secured masters & doctoral degree in food engineering, food nutrition, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc. have studied together.

NeuMedresearch laboratory, based on the traditional oriental medical science, have searched natural protective materials for brain cell through the way of occlusion of artery in cerebrum
/midbrain and of the 4-vessel occlusion.

By the application of evaluating method of memory in maze water-tank, Y-shape of labyrinth and the behavioral evaluation, we have judged efficacy of power of memory for the model which failed one's memory and had a stroke.

It is revealed that the size of cerebral infarction has been remark-ably decreased, after stroke is induced in rats.
