Coliforms including E.coli mean bacteria having similar physiological characteristics with E.coli.
Coliform Monitoring LOP™ Package is a product for colony enumeration and detection of total coliforms and you can monitor simply hygiene conditions of kitchen, liquid samples such as drinking water, and person using this product. If colonies of coliform bacteria are observed, you should enhance hygiene practice because the result provide a possibility of other food-borne pathogens.

Coliforms form purple colonies by β-galactosidase producing and E.coli forms blue colonies by β-glucuronidase producing, because the medium contain chromogenic enzyme substrates. Colonies of other colors excepting blue to purple are interpreted as non-coliforms.
Count numbers of blue to purple colonies, and record it as the number of coliforms.
Record of Result
