Purpose of machine

Designed for high production capacity of various sizes of cotton balls by Servo motor with PLC control. For each different size of balls, a separate channel is needed.

Capacity

Approx. 3,000 cotton balls per minute depending on the specification of sliver and ball sizes.

Operators

Two persons are required to operate the machine and exchange the bags.

Packaging

Balls are delivered into two delivery chutes in front of the machine. The two chutes are equipped with a diverter which is actuated upon reaching the present count. This permits a new bag to be filling while removing the full bag. The counter in the main control box can control the desired quantity for balls to be filled into the bags with the allowance at +/-1% unless the slivers are cut from the feeding section.

Materials

The sliver should be made of 100% absorbent bleached cotton at 1.4g ~ 5g/meter.

It is fed by 10 cans of cotton wool sliver.

Forming unit

The forming channel consists of 10 lanes made of stainless steel with specially designed forming device which is installed in the head of each lane and helps the sliver be formed properly. Channel size should be varied depending on the size of balls which the producer intends to make.

Bag Holders

Photo sensor with air-cylinder bag holders can allow the workers to exchange the bags in a short time.

Sliver Feeding Sensor

This sensor is attached in the sliver feeding section and the production is automatically stopped when the sliver is cut. (Option)
