Product Description
Product Information
Spring Wire
- Austenitic stainless steel has a several excellent characteristics as follows.
- Prominent resistance to corrosion, dispensing with rust preventive plating.
- Very strong even when exposed to heat, which makes it an ideal material for heat-resistant spring.
- Non-magnetic or slightly magnetic is suitable for use in electrical applications.
Type 302, 304 is most popular Austenitic stainless steel used for manufacture of spring because of its outstanding mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Type 316 is used for required high corrosion resistance and non-magnetic property, but its mechanical properties are inferior to those of type 302, 304.

Low-temperature tempering
When stainless steel springs are tempered at low temperature after coiling, their elastic limit rises and spring characteristic are improved. The best condition for tempering stainless steel spring is 400(752F) for 30 minutes.
