Anchovies are small green fish with blue reflectors on their backs. 

The adult age ranges from 2cm to 40cm, and the species in the north is slimmer.

Small, sharp teeth on both chin and muzzle.

There are unusual organs in the beak, which are thought to have sensitive properties, but their exact function is unknown.

The mouth is larger than the herring that resembles each other in many ways.

Anchovies eat plankton and freshly hatched young fish.

In South Korea, it can be dried, stir-fried, or boiled, and sometimes diced with anchovy.
