Like a tailored suit, a pillow should not be one size fits all. With so many different variations in our height, weight, and spinal alignment, it's hard to believe a single pillow works for everyone. Comfort is relative and should not be generalized.

According to research conducted by the Harvard Medical School, how your head rests on your pillow plays a crucial role in your spine health. Matthew O'Rourke, a physical therapist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, explains that extended periods of misalignment can result in serious damage to your neck.

Having bad posture while working, studying, and watching Netflix damages your neck’s natural c-curve. There's even more damage when your pillow doesn’t support you properly in your sleep, causing excessive pain and tension in the neck.

ZEREMA detects snoring by inflating the air cushions inside the pillow. Snoring is the noisy result of a person's airway being obstructed. So when snoring is detected, the air cushions work to lift the neck and re-open that airway. 

This is the same principle as performing CPR. In order to allow proper breathing, the first step procedure is to tilt the head back and lift the chin up.

ZEREMA's app integrates deep-learning which takes data learned from over 10,000 sounds including snoring to more accurately detect new unique snoring sounds. It also teaches itself to distinguish snoring apart from other sounds, ensuring the air cushion adjustment is only activated when a distinct snore is heard.

We conducted a test to see how accurately ZEREMA detects snores. The results show it detected snoring in just 10-30 seconds and lifted up the pillow height right away. As the pillow height adjusted, it helped the user breathe better and decreased much of his snoring.

When put to the test against other anti-snore pillows, ZEREMA was proven to more accurately distinguish and activate only when an actual snore was detected.

ZEREMA is made with open-cell memory foam which promotes free-flowing ventilation. The micro-holes that give it the “open-cell” name allow air to slip in and out easily and stay more hygienic than most conventional closed-cell memory foam pillows.

This material is also softer to the touch. It almost feels like lying on a marshmallow - supportive yet giving.

ZEREMA’s rectangular shape keeps your head comfortably positioned and evenly distributes the head weight. When designing ZEREMA, we closely examined the natural structure of a human head and came up with a pillow that complements this curve.

ZEREMA also keeps side sleepers comfortably positioned. The left and right side of the pillow are raised slightly higher than the middle and have small ear rests that provide ultimate neck and head support for side sleepers.

Compared to the average pillow, ZEREMA’s structure provides superior head support. We conducted two experiments to test how well ZEREMA senses and distributes pressure. The results show the cracker remains perfectly intact and the sensor's measurements indicate the far even distribution of head weight.

To wash the pillow cover, put it into a washer, or wash it by hand. We don’t recommend using a dryer as the pillow cover may shrink. If needed, tumble dry without heat.
