PCL is medical polumer FDA and CE approved. Very safe threads breaking down to H2O and CO2.
Due to its excellent biocompatibility, PCL has also been extensively investigated as scaffolds for tissue
enginnering. A recent study demonstrated the feasibility of using a composite matrix composed of PCL
and hyaluronic acied as a potential tissue substitute.
PCL include the collagen synthesis. The rate of degration is rather slow (2-3 years)
