Metal Doctor is an electro-spark surface deposition and hardening (coating) machine using arc spark effect in the air. The temperature of the spark point is approximately 25,000°C however no heat accumulation occurs during diffusion and deposition periods.

Alloy Deposits on the surface without changing the property and dimensions and it creates strong metallurgical bonding that never be separated from workpiece .

Electro-Spark Effect

• Anti-oxidation effect which prevents from contaminations of air, moisture, Co gas etc..
• As Low heat deposition (welding) equipment, electrode is ionized and deposited into the based metal.
• Transfer electrode metal, it creates strong metallurgical bonding.
• Various electrodes can be used and you can deposit selective area only.

  • Electrode is ionized by electro-spark and diffused as well as infiltrated into the base metal.
• Low heat input on the base metal. High heat is disappeared between sparks so deposition can be made in a low temperature.
