Breville's BCG820BKSXL Smart Grinder Pro in Black is the latest iteration in their line of electronic dosing grinders. Improving upon the design of its predecessors, the Pro boasts a number of new features and considerations that make the grinder more suited for even more robust use and application. To start, the number of grind settings has been increased from 25 to 60 for more precise grinding. Taking it a step further however, the top of the stainless steel conical burr grinder can also be adjusted to further accommodate the grind you're seeking.

Like the original Smart Grinder, the Pro uses timed based dosing to measure out coffee while grinding. The precision digital timer can be set to grind within 0.2 second increments to give complete control of your dose. You can also pause the grinding cycle to adjust or re-settle your grinds as needed. The intuitive LCD interface can be used to program the number of shots/cups to grind and can be set to repeat existing parameters.

Included with each grinder is a 50-54mm and a 58mm portafilter cradle for hands-free grinding as well as a sealable grinds container and a conical burr cleaning brush.

The bean hopper has a 16oz bean capacity and features a locking system for easy removal, storage, and transfer.

PORTAFILTER SWITCH AND DOSING PAUSE

If you're brewing for espresso, the grinder comes with a 50-54mm and a 58mm portafilter cradle that can be fitted on the chute for hands-free operation. There's even an activation switch located beneath the chute that you can press with the portafilter to begin the grinding process. If at any time you need to pause to adjust, simply press the Start/Pause/Cancel button to stop the dose and resettle your grounds.

60 GRIND SETTINGS

Choose between one of 60 stepped grind settings to dial in the perfect fineness for preparation methods ranging from French Press to espresso.

ADJUSTABLE UPPER BURR

The upper grinding burr can be adjusted to further extend the total grinding range to accommodate more precise requirements.
