Because their polished surfaces are easier to be moistened, however, the user is advised to provide a dry condition (<50%) and the sealed housing for preservation. For this purpose, Crystrong also provides polishing and sealed housing services for the KDP family crystals. KDP&DKDP crystal are characterized by high damage threshold, relatively high NLO coefficients. They are good options for large-size finished non-linear components and are usually used for doubling, tripling or quadrupling of a Nd:YAG laser (at constant temperature). With excellent E-O coefficients, KDP and DKDP crystals are also widely used in Q-switches.
