Acanthopanax koreanum made from water, wind and fire has been one of the ten medicinal plants of Jeju Island.
According to a legend, Noggo and Suwol, a brother and a sister, lived with their sick mother. One day Suwol climed Suwolbong peak to find a cure for mother's disease. Unfortunately Suwol fell to her death from the cliff while collecting Acanthopanax koreanum trees. Being lost in sorrow over her death, Noggo has shed sorrowful tears until now. Ever since then Noggo's tears has been the source of spring water called Noggomul nowadays
