Polyethylene Frontal Pads and Fender Piles (UHMW-PE / HMW-PE / HD-PE)

Most modern fender systems include UHMW -PE (ultra-high molecular weight Polyethylene)pads to enhance the life of the steel fender panel coating, minimize wear and reduce friction forces. The material properties of Polyethylene are ideally suited for this application.

PE- fender piles can be supplied either with or without glass fiber rebar or steel rebar. These piles can be used in many dolphin and pile constructions to replace traditional tropical hardwood. These products are manufactured strictly to our standards and specifications.

All fabrication work, quality control and related documentation are exclusively performed by qualified and skilled employees. Test certificates associated with welding and materials are available to our customers upon request. All the required standard components such as anchors, shackles, chains and bolts are sourced from specialized wholesalers.

The UHMW-PE possesses a low coefficient of friction which provides a smooth sliding surface for the vessel to travel along the fender face.

Physical Properties of UHMW-PE Pads:

The panels are available in various sizes (made to order), thicknesses per projects requirements and colors (black, yellow, blue, green. etc.).

The UHMW-PE panels are always custom made, and can be supplied with countersunk holes and chamfers (as per customers specification). It can also be supplied in stand-alone applications not related to rubber fenders, for sliding surfaces that do not require any energy absorption.
