Goodcrete DPS Introduction:

Goodcrete DPS is a unique  water-based chemical  product  for  the  moisture  protection  of  large- scale concrete substrates against temperature and water associated  problems  such  as  thermal  cracking,  damage caused by repeated freeze and thaw cycles, chloride ion penetration, as well as alkali silica reactions.

Goodcrete DPS is the only product, which has hydrophilic and water absorption functions to prevent moisture. For its low viscosity, it can easily penetrate deep into the concrete substrates and carry on a series of reactions, so it has very good protection performance.

GoodcreteDPS provides two effective mechanisms for concrete  protection. First, it gives good exclusiveness on the construction surface and it enhances the surface tension of water and other kinds of liquid (such as jet fuels and gasoline), preventing water (liquid) from penetrating into the concrete through the capillaries of concrete. And then through the crystallization process, it already can prevent water and moisture in the capillaries of concrete. The crystals not only have hydrophilic function but also have water absorption function; therefore it has dual wet resistance effect. In wet climates or in the conditions of having moisture, Goodcrete DPS water absorption function makes the crystals expand and fill the holes so as to prevent moisture extension. At the same time, Goodcrete DPS hydrophilic function makes the crystals grow along the direction of moisture source; thereby it forms a permanent wet barrier at the wet source. In dry climates, in the desorption process, the crystals release moisture and shrink to the initial size. The expanding and shrinking functions of crystals can make the concrete breathe continuously.

Goodcrete DPS makes the concrete have reasonable dryness, which has already used Goodcrete DPS. It reduces the water and moisture associated problems at the greatest degree.

Goodcrete DPS can also seal the cracks less than 0.3mm and improve the concrete strength. Therefore, using Goodcrete DPS, it can extend the service life of the buildings and greatly reduce the maintenance cost.

How does Goodcrete DPS work?

Goodcrete DPS penetrates below the surface and chemically reacts with the alkali substances and lime found in the concrete. This reaction can be divided into two stages: First, within the capillaries of the concrete, it will create a silica gel membrane and after the water of the silica gel membrane evaporates, the silica gel membrane will solidify into a crystalline structure. Second, through the reaction the solidifying crystal will get into the capillaries and small cracks of concrete , permanently sealing to improve its compactness yet allowing the concrete to breathe. Over a period of time the silica gel membrane hydrates and solidifies into a crystalline structure, increasing moisture vapor emissions both on the positive or negative side.Using Goodcrete DPS, the conctete can still breathe well.

a) Low viscosity( 2-3 cps)and surface active agents can make Goodcrete DPS penetrate deep into the concrete matrix.

b)In the concrete pores and capillaries, the catalyst makes it have a chemical reaction, resulting in the insoluble hydrophilic and absorbent crystals.

c)The crystals seal the concrete pores and capillaries to prevent the transmission of water and moisture of the positive or negative side of the concrete slab.
