LSK composite reinforcing fibers are a unique concrete additive, which allows for a reduction of reinforcement frames in concrete structures. In some cases, LSK composite reinforcing fibers can completely substitute structural reinforcement.
The application of LSK composite reinforcing fibers greatly increases the strength characteristics and durability of concrete constructions.
Composite reinforcing fibers are; non-corrosive, light weight, dielectric, diamagnetic, chemically stable and they do not release harmful substances.
Composite reinforcing fibers are applicable in most types of concrete constructions and concrete (all classes concrete, fine-grained concrete, honeycomb concrete, porous concrete and pre-stressed concrete).
Minimum amount of composite reinforcing fibers to concrete is - 2.7 kg/m3, but exact amount varies based on the individual requirements for concrete structures.
The amount of LSK composite reinforcing fibers depends on operating conditions, design load and the type of concrete constructions in the following way:
1. Civil buildings and construction (with application of composite rebar, produced by LSK Co. LTD): from 3 to 6 kg/m3, this is equivalent to application of 30-45 kg of steel fibers with conventional steel rebar.
2. Industrial floor slabs, panels and other concrete construction (with partial application of composite rebar, produced by LSK Co. LTD): from 2.7 to 5 kg/m3, this is equivalent to application of 25-50 kg of steel fibers with conventional steel rebar.
3. Marine constructions, irrigation channels, dams, water tanks (with application of composite rebar, produced by LSK Co. LTD): from 10 to 12 kg/m3, this is equivalent to application of 100-125 kg of steel fibers with conventional steel rebar.
4. Highway constructions (roads, road structures, mines, tunnels): from 5 to 10 kg/m3, this is equivalent to application of 90-120 kg of steel fibers with conventional steel rebar.
Special requirements for manufacture of concrete with composite fibers are not required. During the mixing of concrete, composite reinforcing fibers are added. Thus, composite reinforcing fibers are uniformly distributed in concrete. The produced concrete can be pumped or shotcrete.
The application of LSK composite reinforcing fibers in reinforcement of concrete structures improves its physical and mechanical characteristics. This allows for weight and coating thickness reduction, as well as significantly lowering production cost and production time.
