Founded in 1971, UNIMO Technology (formerly Kuk Jae Electronics Co.) was the first Korean company to develop Industrial Portable Radios.  Based on its own in-house technological expertise, it launched its first radios in 1975. In 1976, UNIMO developed its first Mobile Radios and in 1991 it established its first manufacturing plant outside of Korea.

UNIMO has co-developed technology with leading wireless industry leaders such as Ericsson/GE for the TRS Terminals.
