How to Work

Mechanism

The liquid crystal molecules remain in a chaotic configuration when electricity is not applied through the liquid crystal and high polymer mixture. This refracts the light that enters the mixture, making it appear opaque.

When electricity is introduced, however, the molecules line up in the direction of the electric field, allowing light to pass through what is now a transparent mixture.

1.Requiredments : Glass cleaner, dry cloth, gloves, roller, electrical wires, soldering iron, silicone and tape.		2.Thoroughly clean the glass surface.

3.Peel the contact side's protective film halfway and then attach the film to the glass (do not allow contaminants to make their way in between the film and the glass).		4.Slowly peel off the rest of the protective film using the roller to remove air pockets.

5.Continue to push air pockets out using the roller (be careful not to damage the electrical leads)		6.Solder on the electrical wires to the copper meshes and secure the sire in place.

7.Remove the outer surface's protective film using tape (never use your fingernails).		8. Cover the electrical leads using silicone.

9.Connect the power and test the film.		10.Install the electrical lead cover.

11.Check the film for normal operation.

12. Notes

• First identify where you want to install the film to prevent unnecessary reinstallation.
• Make sure contaminants will not make their way in between the film and the glass.
• Do not use your fingernails to remove the protective film.
• Thoroughly cover the leads with silicone and the cover to prevent accidental electric shocks.
• Completely conceal the electrical leads to achieve a clean finish.
