Alpha-Cyclodextrin is a non-reducing cyclic saccharide comprised of six glucose units linked by alpha-1,4 bonds. It is produced by the action of cyclodextrin glucosyl transferase on hydrolysed starch syrups at neutral pH (6.0-7.0) and moderate temperature (35-40 oC). The hydrophilic nature of the outer surface of the cyclic structure makes alpha-cyclodextrin water-soluble.
Application:
Because the characteristics, Alpha-Cyclodextrin contain the water-fast subatance to transform to soluble substance keeping the volatile things diluting slowly and stably. Increasing the stability of the substance that easily to be deteroprated under the atmosphere and the light.so It is widely used in the drugs, food and flavor,nutritional ingredients and make them stable and diluting slowly. Alpha-CD is also widely used in the field of pesticide and adjusting the metabolization of the crop and increasing the quantity of the crop.
