David Wolfe Design Metric Air Poppets are used to aid in the removal of a molded plastic part from inside the mold.  The Air Poppets can relieve the vacuum created by the mold opening or the part being ejected from the mold.  In some cases, Air Poppets can be the only ejection mechanism.  DWD Metric size Air Poppets range in size from 8.0mm diameter to 18.0mm diameter.  While our Metric Air Poppets do not have the stem that hangs below the body of the poppet, they are sized to be interchangeable with many other brands.

David Wolfe Design Air Poppets have a patented inner construction that reduces fatigue on the spring and cross pin, and also guides the poppet resulting in longer life and better performance.  David Wolfe Design Air Poppets can be used in plastic injection, compression, rubber, composite, and even rotational molds because of their unique construction and high temperature rating.
