Product Description
Since 1974, Taewon Food Industry Co., Ltd. has been dedicated to building customer trust by providing safe and high-quality products. As Korea’s first spice importer, we established a strong foundation in the food industry and expanded into powdered and liquid HMR (Home Meal Replacement) products.
Through close collaboration with diverse clients, we have accumulated extensive expertise and continuously enhanced our flavor, quality, and precision. Backed by a responsive system and ongoing R&D, we remain committed to delivering distinctive tastes that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Namdo-style Chueotang originates from the Jeolla province, a region in Korea known for its fertile plains and rich culinary traditions. Loach (mudfish) was historically abundant in this area, and the locals developed a savory and nourishing soup using crushed boiled loach, radish greens, soybean paste, perilla powder, and perilla oil.
This creates a thick, hearty broth with a deep nutty flavor and mild spiciness—hallmarks of southern Korean cuisine. A sprinkle of sansho pepper powder just before eating adds a distinctive, tingling finish that completes the dish.
The product is packaged in a 500g portion, making it convenient for individual servings. It is fully cooked and only requires reheating before consumption. For optimal quality, the product should be kept frozen until ready to use.
