• Do I need to purchase one device for each car?

You can register multiple cars on a single scanner.

• Do I have to connect via Bluetooth?

You must connect the smart scanner and the application to collect and save the data.

• What do the light signals on the device represent?

The red LED on the smart scanner is shows the power status of the device.

Flashing green LED during operation indicates that the device is under a normal communication process.

• Can I start my car with the device?

Infocar does not support force start or reset function.

• Do I have to log in?

Logging into the application allows you to save the data on the server for automatic data recovery

after you change your device or reinstall the application in the future.

(Saving and recovering the data is only available with adequate internet connection)

• I don’t see the vehicle identification number.

The vehicle identification number is only for identifying different vehicles and this will not affect the function of the device.

• The voltage rating of the product is 12V.
• Operating on a car with different voltage (24V trucks or special vehicles) may cause malfunctioning of the device.
• The smart scanner function may not be supported on a car with customized structural change.
• Infocar provides services based on the standardized data from the car.
• Data classified as extended data may not be supported.
• The extended data varies with the manufacturers and models.
• The fuel efficiency and speed data provided by Infocar may be different from what is shown on the dashboard of the car.
• The fuel efficiency and exhaustion data are not available on the electric cars.
• The product cannot be used together using a multi cable with a OBD2 device from different manufacturer.
• You may be unable to close the fuse box cover after installing the device on your car.
• The fuel efficiency data may not be available for LPG cars.
• There is a low risk of flat battery as the product operates with a small amount of current.
• However, if the car is not being used for a long period of time, it is recommended to remove the scanner.
• Some fault codes may be detected without showing details.
• You can download the application under Android 6(Marshmallow) and iOS11 or higher versions.
